CTMP Newbie Help Please

So we'll be coming to CTMP in July for the TUSC weekend, first time at a permanent course in Canada.

What can we expect from trackside facilities - portapotties on station, good clean dry ground to stand on? Any wildlife repellent needed? How do we get to station each day - do we drive own cars, or are we shuttled out like at Toronto Indy? Are we fed breakfast lunch and dinner?

Help please :-)

Oh, and of course, how close is the nearest Timmy's?

Welcome, for that weekend yes there are potties on or accessible at Most corners, ground is uneven and for most part fairly dry, not a bad idea for bug repellent and sun screen, we are transported to our corners and picked up if it is not accessible by our cars that is personal choice but you are taken out by security, and we are only fed lunch each day, breakfast and dinners are our own responsibility. Hope this helps

Hi Simon,

Food - In addition to lunch each day we are usually provided an evening meal on the Saturday night. If the day is long (as this event may well be) then sometimes that will be brought out trackside.

As Dan said, on the big weekends it is usually best to park near our Chalet (now easy to locate at the base of the new very large cell tower) and be ferried out to the corners, as once the crwod gets in it makes driving around more difficult.

Big weekends most corners have porta-potties or permanent washrooms close-by - but some of the more remote stations do not.

Wildlife --not a lot needed - bring bugspray, but mostly I find I do not need it. At times, some corners get bees but nothing more dangerous than that.

Are you staying in a hotel or planning on camping onsite?

as for Tims -- closest is about 10 monutes away on the 35/115 - then there is Bowmanville.
We do have a Tassimo machine in the chalet for all to use.

Richard.
