I am sure everyone has seen this incident a few days ago. It's pertinent for our club as I could very much see something like this happening here, or at any track where the spectator fencing is porous.

As the race series have taken away the ability for marshals to respond, those watching from the other side of the fence still have that expectation that the people with the fire bottles should do something.


I think it's a tad ironic that in taking away marshals' ability to respond, that the series now have to deal with vigilante fan 'heroes' in shorts and tshirts. I strongly believe that we should have the ability to go in situations of fire or imminent danger. (or else, why do we even have the fire bottle)
