Just a quick update......

Last Tuesday morning was the 1st trip to where the track will be in just over a month's time. The purpose of the trip was to meet with the promoter, track designer, block / fence installer, television, head person for photography and the Clerk of the Course Scott Ellsworth. It was a great opportunity to do a track walk and mark flagging locations and see exactly what other departments require for such an event...thanks Scott for including me to be a part of this process.

The track construction began this past Sunday. Crews will be working during the night hours to get the track ready for the race weekend.

As you are aware registration for the Honda Indy Toronto 2019 is open at the link provided on this web site. Scott Ellsworth is working hard for MMS and is trying his best to make our job at the event better than ever before, I would like to hope that as an MMS member, you consider coming out to support this MMS event.

If you have never worked the Indy, I say try it for yourself, and see what you think.
You will never get closer to the action than at this street course,

Oh did I mention Stadium Trucks are officially back! We all know how exciting that session can be.

Sorry for the long winded message....i will try and make the next update shorter!

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will try my best to answer your questions.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update Scott!

After not being able to make it for the past two years due to work commitments, I’m looking forward to getting back. I’m living in B.C. now, so it’s a bit out of the way, but I’ll be there!

And yes, for anyone who has never worked the Toronto Indy, it’s an awesome experience! Yes, they are often long days and you may not see the standard lunch breaks you get at CTMP, but for me it’s about the racing not about lunch. I have worked many IndyCar events, including Long Beach, Detroit, Portland and Baltimore and Edmonton (back in the day) and I can say Toronto is one of the best run events which I have had the pleasure to be a part of.

So, as Scott said, if you’ve never worked it, come on out and give it a try!

Come on folks....the time is now to register for the Honda Indy Toronto!
Come out and show your support for MMS by attending this event.
Currently 10% of the flaggers are coming from the west coast.
The more flaggers the more fun we can all have...if you haven't worked Indy in a few years, give it another chance, and if you have never worked it, this is the year to try it and see what you think.
It only takes a few minutes to register
Hope to see you all at this event
You can register at: motorsportreg.com

The on-line part wasn't that difficult.

Keep the rubber side down

Just a very quick update
With registration pretty much closed, I hope to have corner assignments done in the next few days.
Scott Ellsworth (clerk of the course/also with BARC) has been working hard for us
I hope to have more info shortly, but registration IMSA weekend at CTMP should not be a problem.

Keep watching for more updates

Thank you to everyone who decided to support MMS for this awesome event.

Happy Canada Day

Scotty
