Has anyone thought of service awards for log book days of maybe 50, 100, 200, and so on? These could be pins or small plaques for individuals, as well as larger plaques to be mounted in the chalet, with all members that have attained these milestones. The larger plaques could have first initial and last name, if privacy is an issue. Any comments?

Bill,
This was something I wanted to get going when I was on the BoD last time round but it did not get off the ground. My Idea was for years marshalled rather than logbook events.

I like both ideas and we as a Board MUST look into this. Thanks for bringing it to our attention again.

Ideas from the membership is always welcome and the BoD will look into it and if it is feasible we should implement it...just my thoughts.

I agree with the years served, and maybe there could also be something like a pin made for events 250 bronze , 500 silver , 750 gold , 1000 platinum .

I also like the idea of recognizing our members for their loyalty. We do however need to separate, and recognize, both years served and events worked.

A great idea! Also an Annual Awards Banquet... (Which is what that used to be MANY years ago) Maybe other recognition wards for leadership, lifetime service, worst luck / most crashes / crash magnet...(note I have excluded most talkative phone op) :)
