When you go to your own PROFILE, on the top right hand corner click the "EDIT" button.
Go to the AVATAR tab and changed your avatar / picture.

It used to work, but, it does not seem to allow us to do it now. :(

I am currently trying to figure this issue out. It seems I take one step forward and two steps back. I will keep trying to fix this. for now everyone will have this image to the left (I think).
